Rok 1875 był pierwotną datą niewidzialnego zmartwychwstania w nauce C. T. Russella. O tej dacie uczył on wraz z N. H. Barbourem, w wydanej przez nich po angielsku książce pt. Trzy światy i żniwo tego świata (1877). Oto słowa o zmartwychwstaniu od roku 1875:
„Zmartwychwstanie. Teraz zamierzamy wykazać, że czas był odpowiedni, i dlatego zmartwychwstanie rozpoczęło się wiosną 1875 r. Nie chodzi o zmartwychwstanie ogromnej masy ludzkości, która będzie wskrzeszona w ciele, w ziemskim, naturalnym lub zwierzęcym ciele, lecz o zmartwychwstanie tych, u których »sieje się ciało naturalne, a wskrzeszone bywa ciało duchowe«, i dlatego jest niewidzialne dla nas, jak aniołowie, albo jak sam Chrystus” (The Resurrection. We now purpose to show that the time was due, and therefore the resurrection began, in the spring of 1875. Not the resurrection of the great mass of mankind, who are to be raised in the flesh, with the earthy, natural, or animal body; but the resurrection of those who, "sown a natural body, are raised a spiritual body;" and therefore, as invisible to us as the angels, or as Christ himself. – The Three Worlds, and the Harvest of This World 1877 s. 108).

Co nie mogło ponownie się zdarzyć, aż znowu nastanie nów księżyca 6 kwietnia, a ten kwiecień należy do roku przestępnego” (When we reached the seventh month of 1874, there was no time for discouragement as the light on the 1335 “days,” showing that they could be prolonged to Feb. 14th 1875, came out at that time. And also that between Feb. 14, where the resurrection would be due to commence, and April 5th, the end of the Jewish ecclesiastical year, at which time the Jubilee, or “times of restitution” would begin, was just fifty days. Which could not occur again until the new moon should come again on April 6th, and that April belong to a leap-year.
